Optical Distortion Sensor Non-Metal Type os3200

Adopting the implementation method according to the instructions. Implementation time takes only a few minutes! The curing time is 24 hours at room temperature. Measurement can begin immediately after confirming the curing!

The "os3200" is used for the health monitoring of wind turbine blades at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the United States. It employs an adhesive implementation method designed to protect the FBG during adhesive injection and bonds to the surface of the measurement object. The installation time is just a few minutes, and the curing time is 24 hours at room temperature. Measurement can begin immediately after confirming the curing. The sensors can be installed in series on a single fiber, and the very simple wiring process helps prevent misconnection during installation. Additionally, by installing at angles of 0, 45, and 90 degrees, measurements equivalent to those of a rosette gauge can also be achieved. For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

Case Study of Slope Deformation Monitoring System (4)

The sensor measures movement in the soil! It helps determine whether something is "moving" or "stopped"!

In the mountain conservation construction site in the Tohoku region in 2011, a landslide occurred due to the earthquake and heavy rain from two years prior, causing the dam to collapse. Although repair work on the dam was carried out, the soil at the site was very soft and posed dangers, making it difficult to install the displacement gauges. This system was installed with the purpose of monitoring the safety of workers involved with heavy machinery. In addition to "two rotating lights" and "alarms," a "large siren" was also used, making it easier for workers, who might have difficulty hearing the alarms due to the noise of the machinery, to detect danger. The strain sensors are reinstalled and used as the construction site moves. [Case Study] ■ Mountain conservation construction site in the Tohoku region ■ Soft and easily collapsible soil ■ Monitoring devices (2 units) and a large siren (1 unit) were installed ■ Sensors were also buried upstream, with extended cables connected to the monitoring devices *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Flexible strain sensor

Manufactured using a coating process at low cost! Ultra-thin, flexible film-type strain sensor.

Our "Flexible Strain Sensor" utilizes organic semiconductor single crystal films. This product takes advantage of the fact that organic semiconductor single crystals respond to strain. Additionally, it has high sensitivity, does not break under large strains, and is easy to attach to curved surfaces. 【Features】 ■ Gauge factor of about 20, providing high sensitivity ■ Extremely thin and flexible film ■ High resistance and low power consumption ■ Capable of multi-point measurement ■ Manufactured through a coating process, making it cost-effective *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Light Distortion Sensor OS3100 Series (Non-flammable and Explosion-proof)

A sensor based on FBG sensing technology designed to facilitate the handling of optical fibers and the implementation of sensors.

The "os3100" is covered with stainless steel, holds the FBG, and prevents the delicate fiber optic breakage issues that may occur during installation. Considering long-term continuous use, the FBG assembly inside does not use adhesive. We offer two types: a welding installation type and an adhesive installation type, both of which can be completed in just a few minutes. The "welding installation type" can be used immediately after installation. The "adhesive installation type" can be cured by leaving it at room temperature for 24 hours, allowing for installation work similar to conventional electric strain gauges. For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

Case Study of Slope Deformation Monitoring System (2)

Safety measures at construction sites, investigation of slope collapses, and surveys at locations prone to landslide disasters!

This is one of the large-scale landslide countermeasure construction sites that occurred due to the Iwate-Miyagi inland earthquake in June 2008. Currently, green space construction, embankment work, and road improvement work are being carried out. This system was installed to monitor the safety of workers involved with heavy machinery and other equipment. The "strain sensor" is characterized by its ease of installation. It is lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport, allowing a single worker to set it up. The site has soft soil, which allowed for smooth penetration. [Case Study] ■ Large-scale landslide countermeasure construction site ■ Installed to monitor the safety of workers involved with heavy machinery and other equipment *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case Study of Slope Deformation Monitoring System (5)

Ensuring safety at construction sites, investigating slope collapses, and conducting surveys in areas prone to landslides!

At the site in the southern Shinshu area of Nagano Prefecture, the wall of the public road leading to a private residence has collapsed severely, necessitating restoration work. Due to the steep slope involved in the wall construction, this system was installed to ensure the safety of the workers. The construction period was approximately three months. Although there were some changes in strain values due to earthquakes, heavy rain, and snowfall, the work was completed safely without exceeding the pre-set values. This site has the system installed independently, but in some cases, safety can be further enhanced by using it in conjunction with devices such as "strain gauges." 【System Installed This Time】 ■ Monitoring Device ■ Rotating Light (with Buzzer) ■ Tripod ■ Setting and Monitoring Software ■ Strain Sensors 1m × 3 units *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
